REact local Missions
The Youth have monthly opportunities to reach out  in a program called REact.  They meet on one Saturday of each month and serve local organizations like M.U.S.T Ministries, Murphy Harpst, Atlanta Food Bank, and many others.  Each month the REact outreach is posted in the monthly newsletter, bulletin, and at the Information Station.  Please take advantage of these wonderful serviceopportunities right herein our own neighborhood.

Guatemala
This is not your ordinary mission trip.  It is a combined effort of the whole church body that is making this mission possible.  We have fifteen adults and fifteen youth who have been preparing months for this trip by collecting materials and goods to take down to Guatemala.  They have also been preparing their hearts and minds for an amazing, life changing mission to serve those in need, and to become the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our purpose there is simple; to do God's will in support of the Hearts for the Children Ministry in San Lucas, Guatemala. We will be leading a Sunday & Wednesday night worship music programs, leading a Sunday & Wednesday night children's church, working on several manual projects on site and around town (sweating), assisting doctors and nurses with medical clinic and hygiene sessions and ministering to those in need.

High School Spring Break Mission
The Due West UMC High School plan to travel Galveston, TX to work with TeamEffort to assist in Hurricane relief in the area.  It is a well known organization that we have worked with in the past. The cost of the trip will be $195 per person.  Registration forms are available below to download as pdf.

Camp Glisson Work Weekend
Due West UMC youth and men’s ministry will work together again this year on several service projects at Camp Glisson next month.  We will depart for Camp Glisson on Friday, April 17 at 6pm and we will stay at the camp until Sunday, April 19.  Our expected return time will be around 11am.  Saturday April 18 will be our main workday.  The only cost to you would be for food and it is estimated at $35 for the weekend.
