Spring Break Mission Trip – We have a great opportunity to serve with TeamEffort this year in a regional mission trip in Jacksonville, FL. It has always been a wonderful experience for our students and our adults. We encourage you to look over the information below and prayerfully consider this coming Holy Week as a week to serve others in need. Info Packet and Registration Form is online at: www.duewestyouth.org/forms.
Mission Objectives – The TeamEffort mission in Jacksonville reaches out to three specific ministries in the area. They are: a children’s home, a homeless shelter, and an impoverished community south of Jacksonville. Mission teams will minister to the children through our children’s outreach program and work to repair dozens of homes to bring them back to livable conditions. There is so much need and so much to be accomplished in this community that we can’t help but be excited about the impact our group can have showing the love of Christ to the families and children who live there.
Lodging – Groups involved with our summer and spring break missions trips to Jacksonville will stay at a facility with bunk style cabins, chapel, dining hall, recreation areas, lake with swimming docks, canoes & paddle boats, and basketball & volleyball courts. All meals are included except two lunches and two dinners during free time.
Registration – We will accept registration forms Until Monday, March 19 (SPACE IS LIMITED). Make sure your Medical Form is up-to-date. The cost is $195 and that includes most food, transportation and accommodations. Youth will have to pay for 3 lunches and 1 dinner while on the trip. We will also go to a Disney Park in Orlando while we are on the trip. Park cost is included in the trip cost. We will meet at 9am on Monday, April 2 in the Youth Center and travel to Jacksonville, Florida. We will be working with Team Effort to serve the people in the area who have special needs. We will be returning on Saturday, April 7 at 5:00 pm.
