Middle School Winter Trip to Florida – January 5-8, 2012

The Due West UMC Middle School travels each year to Orlando, Florida.  We went this year on January 5-8, and had a fun filled trip of awesome fellowship. This year our trip theme was “God’s Kingdom”. We talked about God’s Kingdom and we visited Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Spiritual Life Retreat- March 2-4, 2012

The youth will attend North Gerogia’s annual Spriritual Life Retreat in March at Camp Glisson in Dahlonega, Georgia.  The weekend consist of worship, devotions, group time, games and activities.  It’s a place where students can ask questions and grow in their faith while building relationships within their youth groups and with other youth groups.

Middle School Camping Trip–July

Each Summer the Middle School take a camping and tubing trip down the Toccoa River.

Middle School Fall Retreat—September

Each September the Due West UMC Middle School Youth will travel to Camp Glisson in Dahlonega, GA for their annual fall retreat.  It’s a weekend full of worship, devotions, fellowship, games, cabins and campfires all in God’s beautiful creation!

Middle School Hayride – October

Each October the Middle School Youth and adult chaperones travel to Cagle’s Dairy Farm for their annual Hayride and Bonfire. It’s a night full of  s’mores, hayrides, bonfires and even a corn maze. The Cost is $20 which includes the activities, food and transportation.

Ice Skating- December

In December, we take the youth ice skating at the Ice Forum and then attend the Due West Christmas Concert back at the church.

Christmas Caroling Outreach – December

Each December, we take the youth Christmas caroling within our community.  The caroling will usually last from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. We will return to the Youth Center for Hot Chocolate and Christmas cookies. All ages are welcome! Children 5th grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
