It’s Who We Are (About Us)
Welcome to CrossRoads! Youth Ministry at Due West UMC is about providing an environment for youth to deepen their faith through a personal relationship with God and through relationships with other youth, adults in the church, and their families.
We at Due West UMC do not define Youth Ministry just by what the youth do during one hour on a Sunday Night. Youth are involved throughout the church in many different ways: from being a leader in other ministries such as children’s ministry and volunteering on Sunday mornings to reaching out through missions and praying for those in our church. The youth have the wonderful opportunity to be part of the music, drama and dance that fills the church every Sunday. The Youth Ministries at Due West aren’t just involved in our little corner of the church…WE ARE THE CHURCH!
Please check out the information stations located in our Youth Sanctuary and Youth Center for more information on these and many other opportunities. You too can find your ministry here at Due West UMC.
During the school months, joins us every Sunday Night for CrossRoads. Each month we will focus on a life topic faced by every youth. Bring a friend or two and participate in faith-building programs, fellowship and fun. This year, we will be taking more time in small groups in order to take the conversations deeper.
Sunday School classes for youth take place at both the 9:39 and 11:05 hours. Volunteers lead classes on topics pulled from popular culture and news headlines making them connect the spiritual lives of our students.
REfuel Bible Studies meet on Wednesday night in the youth center. This year we are doing a series called Community and it will focus our studies in the New Testament. We will see life in the new Church, who were the men instrumental in starting the Church, and how this all applies to our church today.
